Chief Executive, Wealth Management, Royal Bank of Scotland John Baines was appointed Chief Executive, Wealth Management in January 2006. He joined RBS in June 2002 as Finance Director of Coutts Group, taking on wealth responsibilities in March 2003.

John is a board member of Coutts Bank von Ernst Ltd, Coutts & Co., Adam & Co., Coutts International Asia, RBS International and RBSI (Holdings) Ltd, and RBS Asset Management Ltd.

Prior to joining RBS, he worked in UBS and JP Morgan, with a broad experience of both private banking and investment banking, predominantly in the Finance area.
